Founded by Dr. Kurt Herberts, an outstanding entrepreneur of his time, the Wuppertal Children's and Youth Theater began as an apprentice theater. In 1971, it became an independent theater and is now an integral part of Wuppertal's cultural life. Even after more than fifty years, the theater's distinctive profile remains unchanged: it creates theater not only for children and young people, but also with them.
