Gateway Center

Gateway Center is a lakefront event venue in Newport, Vermont, operated by Newport Parks & Recreation. Set on the shore of Lake Memphremagog, the venue offers a picturesque backdrop for private parties, business meetings, community gatherings and other celebrations. Its north-facing glass doors open towards the lake, while wraparound balconies provide additional outdoor space and views towards Owl’s Head and the Canadian mainland.

The first floor accommodates up to 75 guests and is available to hire throughout the year. The venue hire includes the hall, tables, chairs and use of a practical kitchen, making it suitable for organisers who want a flexible space and prefer to arrange their own catering, styling and event support. Kitchen facilities include refrigerators and freezers, a dish sanitiser, gas and electric cooking equipment, ovens, work surfaces and a stainless-steel double sink.

Gateway Center offers a straightforward, self-managed venue solution. Organisers should note that linens, tableware, cutlery, serving equipment, kitchen utensils, warming dishes and event staffing are not included. The venue does not provide planners, organisers or caterers, so clients can bring in their preferred suppliers and manage the event according to their own plans. The first floor is rented for full-day bookings, with set-up, breakdown and kitchen use included in the facility hire. Additional equipment, including a PA system and projector options, may also be available. Its accessible setting, waterfront views and adaptable layout make Gateway Center a practical choice for smaller events in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
