Blythewood Event Center & Bed & Breakfast

Blythewood Event Center & Bed & Breakfast offers event organisers the use of a historic mansion and its grounds in Amite City, Louisiana. Built in 1885, the Colonial Revival home sits among mature oak trees and gardens, giving weddings and other gatherings a distinctive historic setting. Indoor options include elegant ballrooms and intimate dining rooms, while the grounds provide attractive outdoor backdrops for ceremonies, receptions and photography.

Weddings are a particular focus, with options for both intimate celebrations and larger receptions. Couples can ask about weekend wedding arrangements, which combine event use of the property with overnight rooms for the wedding party and guests. The venue also welcomes bridal and baby showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions, proms, holiday parties and celebrations of life. Corporate events and smaller dinners or meetings are also among the occasions hosted here.

Organisers can discuss rental-only arrangements and bring their own caterer, DJ and other suppliers. The venue notes that it is not currently providing in-house catering, but can share a list of preferred caterers. Staff offer planning assistance and can provide resources for themes, entertainment and electrical equipment. Overnight accommodation is available through the bed and breakfast, making it possible for guests and wedding parties to stay on site. Blythewood also accepts enquiries for photo sessions inside the mansion or on its grounds. A venue tour can help organisers explore the spaces and decide how the historic house and gardens might suit their event.
