The Assembly Rooms

The Assembly Rooms is a flexible function venue in Frome, available to hire for private celebrations, community activities and business gatherings. Set within the Frome Memorial Theatre complex, it offers a main hall alongside a foyer and bar area, giving organisers useful spaces for welcoming guests, serving refreshments and hosting the main part of an event.

The hall can be arranged for different formats, from seated presentations and meetings to dinners, receptions and parties. Published capacities are up to 144 guests in theatre-style seating, around 100 for dining at round tables, or 200 standing. The room measures approximately 15.35 by 13.2 metres, making it suitable for gatherings that need space for tables, an audience or a dance floor.

Organisers can hire the venue for receptions, wedding celebrations, dinner dances, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, classes and wakes. A well-equipped kitchen is available for professional caterers or self-catering, while the licensed bar can support social occasions. Wi-Fi and technical support are also available, with lighting and sound information provided for planners who need to prepare a presentation or performance.

The venue has a level entrance, accessible toilet facilities and an induction hearing loop. It is located behind Frome Memorial Theatre and has access to the complex’s private car park. Hire costs are provided on request, and bookings can be discussed directly with the venue team.
