The Dakota Center

The Dakota Center is an event venue in Vermillion, South Dakota, offering spaces for weddings, receptions, business meetings and private gatherings. Its two main rooms suit different group sizes: the Conference Room seats up to 60, while the Banquet Hall accommodates around 290 guests. The rooms can be arranged with tables and chairs to suit the event, and the venue provides options such as audio-visual equipment, table linens, a portable stage and a dance floor. Wedding packages include time for set-up, and couples can choose additional décor or entertainment options to shape the occasion.

Organisers can enquire about food and drinks as part of their booking, with catering arrangements and bar service available under the venue’s stated terms. There are also options for approved outside food vendors. For meetings and other gatherings, room rental can include audio-visual facilities, coffee and water, making the venue suitable for both practical sessions and celebrations.

The Dakota Center adds indoor activities to its event offer. Guests can use golf simulators featuring courses from around the world, play miniature golf, or visit the arcade, which has a range of games. Organisers can add golf or arcade options to some bookings, including packages with reserved simulator or arcade access. This combination of function rooms and on-site entertainment makes the venue a choice for wedding celebrations, family reunions, company gatherings and other occasions where guests may want activities alongside their event.
