Glenview Mansion

Glenview Mansion is a historic event venue in Rockville, Maryland, available to hire for weddings, receptions, private parties, mitzvahs, conferences and other special occasions. Built in 1926, the mansion sits within Rockville Civic Center Park and combines period architecture with landscaped grounds and formal gardens.

A rental includes use of the mansion, its front lawn and formal gardens, with a tailored set-up to suit the event. Inside, organisers can choose from a range of characterful rooms, including the Conservatory, Dining Room, Library and Living Room. These spaces can host ceremonies, receptions, meals and guest gatherings, with room layouts suited to different parts of the programme. The Conservatory can be used for ceremonies or as a reception and dancing space, while the Dining Room accommodates seated or buffet meals.

The outdoor gardens and front lawn provide settings for ceremonies, receptions and tented events. The venue accommodates up to 200 guests. For smaller gatherings or as an addition to a mansion booking, the nearby Civic Center Cottage offers a more intimate space for up to 25 people.

Practical features include event tables and banquet chairs, optional chair hire, private dressing suites, a catering kitchen for support staff and a pre-event property walkthrough to confirm arrangements. Couples can also enquire about a ceremony rehearsal, subject to availability. The grounds and mansion offer a distinctive historic backdrop for photographs, while the second floor includes a gallery with changing art exhibitions. Glenview Mansion is owned and operated by the City of Rockville, and venue tours can be arranged by appointment through the Civic Center Business Office.
