The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is a historic community hall in Buckley, Washington, owned and operated by Open Life Church. The venue is offered for private and community events, giving organisers a straightforward indoor space for bringing people together. Its main rentable area is a 42-by-42-foot hall with adjacent bathrooms. The setting is suited to gatherings such as celebrations, dinners, meetings and other occasions that need a central room rather than a large conference complex.

Tables and chairs are available by arrangement. The venue lists 60-inch round tables and 96-inch rectangular tables, as well as up to 150 chairs. Its guidance suggests that groups of around 100 or fewer will be more comfortable in the room. Organisers should confirm the layout and the number of furnishings they need when requesting dates, as not every table can fit in the hall at once.

Open Life also uses the building for its own activities, so outside rentals are subject to availability. The church's information asks each group to appoint a single contact person, as an event coordinator is not provided. It also sets out rental paperwork and an event-liability requirement, which can be met through a refundable damage deposit or appropriate insurance documentation.

The venue's website previously described limited rental availability through December 2025 and anticipated remodelling in early 2026. As those dates have passed, organisers should contact the venue directly to confirm its current condition, availability, rates and any updated arrangements before planning an event.
