Atkinson Farms

Set in the countryside near Danville, Virginia, Atkinson Farms offers a rural setting for weddings and other gatherings. The property spans hundreds of acres, with open fields, woodland, walking trails, streams and six ponds, giving organisers a choice of scenic backdrops for celebrations and photographs.

The Atkinson Barn is the main event space. Its reclaimed timber, stone fireplaces, chandeliers and copper-topped bar create a warm setting for ceremonies, receptions and dinners. A full-service kitchen is available for catering teams, and the barn has room for guests to dine, mingle and enjoy live entertainment. A covered porch extends the space outdoors, with landscaped grounds and water features nearby.

For couples planning a wedding weekend or a private event with overnight guests, the Atkinson Lodge and original Atkinson Cabin provide accommodation close to the barn. The lodge has guest rooms, living areas and a covered porch, while the cabin offers a compact, rustic place to stay and can sleep up to 12 people. The buildings sit within the wider farm landscape, allowing guests to enjoy a more relaxed countryside stay alongside the event.

Organisers can explore the barn, lodge, cabin and grounds to decide how the property might suit their occasion. Atkinson Farms is especially suited to couples looking for an indoor and outdoor wedding setting, with additional space for guests to gather before or after the main celebration. The venue is located between Danville and Chatham and welcomes enquiries through its website by email or telephone.
