Historic Marion Train Depot

The Historic Marion Train Depot offers event organisers a distinctive place to hold meetings, receptions, parties and other gatherings in downtown Marion, North Carolina. The restored railway building combines historic character with a practical multipurpose room, making it a considered choice for groups looking for something with a sense of place rather than a conventional function room.

The venue can accommodate up to 110 people with tables and chairs. It is available to individuals, organisations and groups for commercial or non-commercial events, subject to the City of Marion's rental rules and agreement. Organisers can enquire about booking the space for a full day or for part of a day, with rentals offered throughout the week. As the Depot is often booked in advance, contacting the City early is recommended to discuss availability, rates and arrangements.

Located close to Marion's downtown shops, restaurants and other amenities, the Depot is well placed for guests arriving for a local gathering. Its story as a former freight and passenger railway building adds a memorable historical backdrop to celebrations and community occasions. The space is also used for meetings and receptions, so it can suit a range of event formats.

The City provides rental information, an application, venue rules and a table-arrangement document for prospective hirers. A security deposit and signed rental agreement are required. Organisers should confirm current pricing, access and any event-specific requirements directly with City Hall when planning their booking.
