At a porcelain dot painting workshop, participants decorate a plate, mug or other porcelain item using paint, dotting techniques and stencils. There are examples to inspire them, but there is also room for their own designs. For wood burning, participants use a pyrography pen to add an image, pattern or text to a wooden board or another wooden item. Materials and tools are provided, along with coffee or tea and a treat. For the porcelain activity, participants are shown how to fire their piece at home.
The workshops usually last around two to two and a half hours and take place in a bright workshop space at Studio Stip & Zo. It can accommodate groups of up to eight people. Organisers can get in touch to discuss options for larger groups or a workshop at their venue. Workshops can also be booked for occasions such as a birthday, a hen party, a family day or a fun activity with colleagues. Options to add a cream tea or other snacks can be discussed on request.
Anyone who would prefer to join others can sign up for a scheduled open workshop. The agenda lists the available dates and times. Studio Stip & Zo therefore offers an accessible, guided activity focused on getting creative together, with every participant taking home a keepsake they have made themselves.
