Den Aalmoezenier is an event venue and club in Antwerp that can be hired for a range of evening events. Associations, student clubs, youth and sports organisations, and private organisers can hold events there, including student parties, cantus events, charity evenings, quizzes and private parties. The venue is particularly suited to events centred around music, dancing and a bar.
According to the packages offered, venue hire includes bar staff, cleaning and use of the sound and lighting equipment on site. Organisers must provide, among other things, their own DJ and, for certain events, also bring a mixing desk and audio source. Practical arrangements, such as drinks vouchers, access, cloakroom and toilet facilities, are agreed in advance. There are specific hire terms for student clubs and youth organisations.
The venue has a stated maximum capacity of 400 people for private parties and student parties. Cantus events have a separate maximum capacity of 160 people, divided into four groups. The venue can therefore accommodate both smaller group gatherings and larger party evenings, depending on the type of event and the layout chosen.
Den Aalmoezenier presents itself as an accessible, affordable venue for organisations that want to organise their own event and are looking for a room with a bar and basic technical facilities. The calendar lists events and available dates, so organisers can check when the venue is available. Anyone planning a party, cantus event or charity event can get in touch directly to discuss the date, package and practical terms.
