Marlborough Town Hall

Marlborough Town Hall is a historic venue in the centre of town, available to hire for weddings, civil ceremonies, private celebrations, meetings, performances and public events. Organisers can book an individual room or enquire about using more of the building, matching the space to the size and style of their occasion.

The Assembly Room is suited to larger gatherings, including wedding receptions, dinners, parties, dances, film screenings and shows. Its decorative ceiling, chandeliers and balcony give the room a distinctive setting, while a curtained stage, audiovisual equipment and a large screen support performances and presentations. It can seat up to 150 people at tables and has an adjoining bar and kitchen, which hirers or their caterers can use.

For ceremonies, the Court Room offers a light, high-ceilinged space with a separate entrance and steps that provide a natural backdrop for photographs. It is also used for public sales, fairs and exhibitions. The panelled Council Chamber is a more intimate option for small wedding ceremonies, private meetings and interviews, with space for up to 30 people.

The Town Hall's event offer covers both personal and commercial bookings. It can host family parties, receptions, civic occasions, theatre and music events, and other gatherings. Tables and chairs are available, and organisers can ask about room availability, equipment and hire arrangements before making a booking.

Access features include a ramp at the entrance, a lift to the first floor, accessible toilets and a hearing loop. The venue also provides free Wi-Fi. Its varied historic rooms allow event planners to choose between an elegant reception space, a formal ceremony room or a practical setting for a smaller meeting.
