Abenteuer Sterne

Ratzing 5, 83253 Rimsting, Germany

Abenteuer Sterne shares the fascination of space through guided stargazing, astronomy talks and introductory courses. The programme is aimed at people with no prior knowledge, as well as groups, businesses and event planners looking for an unusual programme combining learning and experiences. It is led by physicist and astronomer Manuel Philipp, who explains astronomical concepts in a clear and engaging way.

During the approximately two-hour guided stargazing tours on the Winklmoosalm and at Chiemsee, participants explore the night sky with the naked eye. No telescope is used. The focus is on constellations, planets, the Milky Way and how stars and galaxies form and evolve. The topics covered in detail also depend on participants' questions and current conditions in the sky. The tours take place at dark-sky locations and, according to the provider, are suitable for children aged around nine and over.

Private groups can book bespoke tours. If the sky is heavily overcast on the Winklmoosalm, an astronomy show can take place in the Almkirche instead. Abenteuer Sterne also offers talks for events, as well as courses on finding your way around the sky and using rotating star charts. Talk topics can be agreed on request. The programme is therefore suitable for business events, group evenings and other occasions where an astronomy experience led by an expert is sought.
