De BuitenSociëteit is a monumental event venue on the Paterswoldsemeer, a short distance from Groningen. Its waterside location and terrace overlooking the lake give receptions, dinners and gatherings a countryside feel. Organisers can use the venue for weddings, family celebrations, business events, meetings and promotional drinks receptions, among other occasions.

The stylish hall is suitable for celebratory dinners and parties, but can also be set up for a meeting or gathering. Business events can benefit from audiovisual facilities and packages that include small, energy-boosting meals. The venue offers ample parking and can help tailor the arrangements to the programme and guests' wishes.

De BuitenSociëteit is also a distinctive choice for a wedding. It is an official wedding venue, with options for the ceremony, reception, dinner and party all in one place. Depending on your plans, guests can gather indoors, on the terrace or by the water. The hall is available for exclusive hire, and the team can help with practical choices and the celebratory details of the day.

The kitchen and service are provided by the professionals at s'Amuse Cateraar. This means there are options for drinks receptions, dinners and bespoke catering, among other things. The partnership with a nearby water sports club also makes it possible to combine a gathering with a boat trip or time on the water. The venue is therefore well suited to organisers who want their event to reflect the surroundings of the Paterswoldsemeer.
