Barcroft School & Civic League

Barcroft School & Civic League offers the Barcroft Community House as a distinctive venue for modest-sized events in Arlington, Virginia. The historic building dates from 1908 and provides a welcoming setting for private celebrations, including weddings, showers, birthdays, anniversaries and bar or bat mitzvahs. It can also be booked for game nights, community gatherings and political events.

At the heart of the venue is a 39-by-23-foot main hall with an oak floor and a small stage, making it suitable for a meal, speeches, entertainment or dancing. Tables and chairs are available, and the room has dimmable lighting. A kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, sink, cupboards and work surfaces gives organisers useful facilities for preparing and serving refreshments. There is also an accessible bathroom and ramp access.

Outside, landscaped grounds offer an additional setting for guests and event activities. The Community House is available by reservation, with weekday and weekend hire options. The published 2026 rates vary according to the day, time and whether the renter is a current League member. The venue's historic character and community-house scale make it a practical choice for organisers looking for an intimate, characterful space rather than a large function centre. Parking nearby is managed separately by the Women's Club of Arlington, so organisers should confirm its availability directly when planning their event.
