Bert's Barrow

Set on a family farm in Hillam, Bert's Barrow offers a countryside setting for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. The venue includes three rustic barns, a courtyard, a paddock and surrounding fields, giving organisers a choice of indoor and outdoor spaces and room to shape an event around their plans.

Couples can hire the farm exclusively and hold a civil ceremony in a barn or, weather permitting, outdoors in the courtyard or paddock. The barns provide different settings for ceremonies, dining, drinks and evening celebrations. The venue can host intimate gatherings as well as larger weddings, with capacity for up to 500 guests across the spaces. Wildflower and sunflower fields, open countryside and farmyard backdrops offer further places for photographs and time outside.

For corporate organisers, the barns and outdoor areas can be used for staff parties, family fun days, award presentations and other bespoke events. The team can help clients shape the occasion and connect them with local entertainment providers, with options ranging from fairground attractions and live music to interactive experiences. Midweek and weekend bookings are available.

Food and drink arrangements can be tailored to the event. An on-site bar and catering options are available through the venue's catering partner, while organisers may also choose external food vendors and other suppliers. This flexibility suits planners who want to create a relaxed festival-style celebration or a more traditional gathering. Bert's Barrow is near Leeds, York and Selby, and viewings can be arranged by contacting the team.
