The Loft at Cecelia

The Loft at Cecelia is a private event venue above Cecelia Creole Bistro in downtown Baton Rouge. Its 5,000-square-foot space includes an outdoor balcony overlooking the Mississippi River, exposed brick and hardwood floors. Organisers can book the venue for private gatherings and celebrations, including receptions, dinners, luncheons, galas and corporate events.

The room can accommodate up to 300 people standing, or seat up to 120 guests with the venue's banquet chairs. Tables, chairs, glassware, napkins, soft drinks and water are included, and staff set up the room according to the organiser's floor plan. The space also has lounge furniture, a bar, a television with HDMI connections, an indoor and outdoor music system, and a wired microphone for speeches. DJs and bands can be brought in, but they must supply their own speakers and sound equipment.

Food and drinks can be arranged through Cecelia Creole Bistro. Menu choices include self-service Creole buffet selections and staff-served, multi-course seated dinners for smaller groups. Several bar arrangements are available, including packages, a host-paid tab and a cash bar. Organisers may also arrange outside catering for an additional charge, subject to the venue's requirements.

The Loft is rented by the hour, with a deposit required to reserve a date. Tours are arranged by appointment, and food and bar selections should be finalised in advance. The venue provides event space, catering and bar service, but does not offer wedding or party planning. It is on the second floor and has no lift, so organisers should consider accessibility when planning their event.
