The Chateau Ballroom

The Chateau Ballroom offers event organisers a private ballroom set among an acre of woodland in south-west Portland, around 15 minutes from downtown. With space for gatherings of up to 100 guests, it suits weddings, birthday celebrations, dance events, community gatherings, performing arts and photo shoots.

At the heart of the venue is a 1,200-square-foot dance floor. The ballroom also has a kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker and basic utensils, giving organisers room to prepare refreshments or coordinate with an outside caterer. The venue does not provide in-house catering, so clients can bring their own food and drinks or arrange a catering company. Alcohol service requires an OLCC server.

The rental includes a sound system with speakers, a mixer, microphones and stands, plus adjustable colour-changing lights. A television, projector and screen are available for presentations or entertainment. Outside, a covered deck, woodland seating, a barbecue and a fire pit offer additional space for guests to gather. Tables, chairs, tablecloths and extra set-up requests can be arranged for an additional cost.

The setting pairs an intimate indoor space with a natural backdrop, while remaining close to Portland. There are 20 parking spaces, and the venue provides a stair-free drop-off route to the ballroom.
