The Bells Event Center

The Bells Event Center is a family-run venue in Almont, Michigan, set inside a restored historic schoolhouse about an hour north of Detroit. Its characterful setting combines period charm with contemporary event facilities, offering organisers several indoor rooms and an outdoor area for ceremonies and gatherings.

The spaces suit events of different sizes and styles. The Freedom Room accommodates up to 80 guests, while the Liberty Room holds up to 100 for a wedding or 125 without a dance floor. The larger Vintage Room can host up to 400 people. Multiple rooms can be booked together, making it possible to create separate areas for different parts of an event. The Meadows provides an outdoor setting for wedding ceremonies and photographs.

The venue welcomes weddings, receptions, banquets, showers, memorial gatherings, birthday and anniversary parties, fundraisers and corporate events. On-site staff help organisers plan room layouts, coordinate with suppliers and keep the event timetable on track. Wedding and event hosts are available on the day, and the venue provides tables and chairs as part of the room setup.

Organisers can choose from décor options such as centrepieces, backdrops, draping and chair finishes. Bar packages range from alcohol-free service to beer, wine and spirits, with optional drinks such as a champagne toast or signature cocktails. Audio-visual equipment, including speakers, microphones, a projector and screen, is also available for presentations and meetings. The venue does not provide in-house catering, but works with a preferred catering partner and allows other approved caterers under its policies. Tours can be arranged to help planners assess the rooms and discuss event requirements.
