The Red Barn

The Red Barn is a barn-style event venue in Hernando, Mississippi, offering an indoor setting for weddings, receptions and a range of other gatherings. Its rustic character comes from timber beams, cedar walls, an aged metal roof and decorative lighting, while the heated and air-conditioned interior provides around 9,500 square feet of usable space. The venue describes capacity of up to 300 guests, with its room details listing wedding and reception arrangements for up to 280.

The space is designed to bring a wedding ceremony and reception together under one roof. A bridal and groom's loft provides a private place for the wedding party, and the venue has two large banquet areas, decorated restrooms and parking for more than 250 vehicles. Tables and chairs are available, along with a video system, a stereo system for general use and a complete room set-up. Outdoor tent space may also be available.

Wedding packages combine venue hire with a choice of food options, including a hors d'oeuvres buffet, Memphis-style barbecue, Southern dishes, a chicken dinner, a pasta station and a taco bar. The venue also lists additional choices such as linens, cake service and extra access time. Outside catering is not permitted, and current package details should be confirmed directly with the venue.

Beyond weddings, The Red Barn presents its facilities for family reunions, banquets, receptions, school proms, fundraisers, corporate seminars, training sessions, birthdays, anniversaries and rehearsal dinners. At the time of writing, its website says event bookings and venue tours are temporarily paused through at least August 2027. Organisers should check with the business for any later change to availability.
