The Opal Haus

The Opal Haus is an intimate event venue in downtown Lawrenceburg, Indiana, offering a welcoming setting for personal celebrations and business gatherings. Its main event space is suited to weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, graduations, family occasions and community events. Organisers can also book the venue for corporate meetings, strategy sessions, holiday parties, panel discussions and lunch-and-learn events.

The space is best suited to smaller gatherings. It can accommodate up to 100 guests, although the venue recommends keeping weddings to around 80 to 85 people for a comfortable layout. Tables and chairs are available, along with table linens, cocktail tables, a bar and a large entrance table. Organisers can choose from a selection of decor options, and the furniture can be rearranged to suit the event. Major setup is generally completed before guests arrive.

Practical facilities include a sound system with an auxiliary connection and microphone, a projector for presentations or photo slideshows, free Wi-Fi, coat storage, heating and air conditioning. Public parking is available beside the building and on nearby streets. Organisers may bring non-alcoholic drinks and food or hire a caterer of their choice, as the venue does not require the use of an exclusive catering partner. A cleaning fee covers post-event venue cleaning, with guests responsible for clearing their own event items.

The Opal Haus also has a separate downstairs accommodation option with a full kitchen and bathroom, offering an overnight stay for guests. Event bookings are arranged directly with the venue, with tours available by request. A deposit and signed agreement are required to reserve a date.
