At Kyrburg in Kirn, Restaurant & Whiskymuseum combines historic rooms with options for private celebrations and special gatherings. Event planners can enquire about holding birthdays, weddings and other festive occasions here. The number of guests accommodated depends on the room chosen and the table layout.
For smaller gatherings, the restaurant in the historic guardhouse can accommodate up to 40 people. The Burgzimmer can seat up to 21 guests, while the first-floor hall is intended for celebrations with up to 70 people. The whisky museum is located in the vaulted cellars and can be used for tastings with up to 44 guests. Another room, Castle Inn, has around 60 seats and can also serve as a meeting room on weekdays. A projector and screen are permanently installed there. In summer, a terrace adds to the range of spaces available.
The museum displays an extensive whisky collection of more than 5,000 bottles, including numerous Scottish single malts, international bottlings and rarities. At regular tastings, guests sample selected whiskies and learn more about the collection. Many of these evenings include a three-course meal, after which the programme continues in the cellar. For private events, the team discusses the occasion, room and possible number of guests with each organiser individually. Museum visits are possible by prior arrangement. Kyrburg is therefore suitable both for festive celebrations in historic surroundings and for a themed evening centred on whisky.
