The Chapel Restoration

The Chapel Restoration is a historic event venue in Cold Spring, New York, offering an intimate setting for weddings, private gatherings and a range of other occasions. Built in 1833, the chapel stands above the Hudson River and has views of the surrounding Highlands. Its historic character, natural light and compact scale make it well suited to ceremonies and events where atmosphere and a distinctive setting matter.

The chapel can accommodate up to 99 people, with seating in the main space and a balcony. Organisers can arrange weddings, business meetings, presentations, workshops, private concerts, readings, recitals, dinner parties and photo shoots. The venue is available throughout the year and has heating and air conditioning. An antique candelabra, grand piano and pipe organ offer additional options for ceremonies and musical events.

On the grounds, the modern Chancery building provides useful facilities alongside the chapel. It includes a meeting area, kitchen, restrooms and a dressing room, making it practical for preparations and smaller gatherings. An outdoor stone courtyard offers a place for guests to meet and enjoy refreshments. The site is close to Cold Spring's train station, with parking available nearby.

The Chapel Restoration is operated by a volunteer-run nonprofit that maintains the historic property and supports local arts and cultural programming. Venue hire contributes to that work. Organisers can contact the team to discuss dates, arrange a visit and explore how the chapel and Chancery spaces could suit their event.
