Wijkcentrum Kotem
- Grotstraat 8 B, 3630 Maasmechelen, Belgium
Wijkcentrum Kotem is a municipal venue in Maasmechelen that offers organisers a large hall and a kitchen for a wide range of activities. The hall is suitable for private parties and meetings of associations and organisations, as well as food events, performances, rehearsals and exhibitions. The venue therefore accommodates both festive occasions and activities with a cultural or community-focused character.
The large hall has a maximum capacity of 470 people. When the hall is used together with the meeting room, the maximum capacity can rise to 680 people. The kitchen is available as part of the facilities, which is practical for activities where food is prepared or served. Wijkcentrum Kotem does not provide catering itself, allowing organisers to tailor their event to the occasion and the arrangements for using the venue.
Amplified music is permitted, subject to a limit of no more than twelve activities per calendar year under the applicable environmental regulations. The closing time is 05.00. The municipality has a booking procedure and different hire rates, depending on the type of hirer and the use. Organisers can contact the community centre manager to check availability, arrange a visit and discuss practical details. Wijkcentrum Kotem is therefore a spacious, flexible hall option for local parties, association activities and other gatherings in Maasmechelen.
