Basement 144

Basement 144 is a private-hire lounge and club-style venue on Holloway Road in north London. Its flexible space is available for celebrations and events, from birthdays, engagement parties and hen or stag nights to Christmas and corporate parties, pop-ups and activations. The venue can accommodate up to 150 people standing, with seating for around 40 guests for dining, making it suited to lively gatherings as well as more intimate occasions.

The team offers a range of event support alongside the room hire. Organisers can arrange an in-house DJ, club-style sound and programmable lighting, plus a staffed bar and security. Personalised cocktail menus and welcome drinks are available, and the venue can assist with event logistics and decor. Entertainment options include dancers, hosts and photobooths. Food arrangements include private dining and canapes, with external catering also possible.

Private hire is generally available on Friday and Saturday nights, with other days considered by arrangement. The venue's late opening and music-led atmosphere make it a natural choice for parties that are intended to continue into the night. For seated dinners, the smaller dining capacity is worth bearing in mind when planning the guest list. Located close to Holloway Road, Highbury & Islington and Drayton Park stations, Basement 144 offers organisers a central north London setting with transport links nearby. The venue also has a kitchen and bar, so planners can discuss the format, food and drinks they have in mind when making an enquiry.
