O2 Academy Sheffield

O2 Academy Sheffield is a live music venue in the city centre, with a long-standing place in Sheffield's concert and nightlife scene. Its two spaces, the main auditorium and O2 Academy2, have hosted established touring artists, emerging performers and a wide range of musical styles. The venue has also welcomed club nights, making it a distinctive option for organisers seeking a stage-led setting rather than a conventional function room.

The venue is available for hire enquiries covering corporate functions, private events and location use. Organisers can contact the venue team to discuss a proposed booking and establish whether the spaces and facilities suit their plans. The venue's live music focus is supported by upgraded sound and lighting equipment, including a newly installed sound system, alongside improvements to the building and its service areas.

O2 Academy Sheffield is currently closed while refurbishment and remedial work is completed. Academy Music Group has announced that it plans to reopen the venue in February 2027, and the official site lists performances scheduled for March 2027. This means organisers should make enquiries with the reopening timetable in mind. Once open, the venue will return as a Sheffield location for live performances and a bookable setting for corporate, private and location events, with two rooms offering different possibilities for event formats and audiences.
