The BARN at Liberty Farms

The BARN at Liberty Farms is a wedding and event venue set on a working organic farm in Ghent, in New York's Hudson Valley. Its renovated former thoroughbred barn combines original timber character with practical facilities for receptions and celebrations. The indoor space can seat up to 150 guests, with room for dining, dancing and a bar. Original stall areas can be arranged for uses such as lounge seating, food stations or a photo booth.

Couples can choose from several outdoor ceremony settings, including a wooded grove and open paddocks. A seasonal sailcloth tent provides an alternative for ceremonies and cocktails when the weather is uncertain. The property also has dressing rooms, air conditioning and heating, tables and chairs, and a catering preparation room. Organisers may choose their own caterer, subject to the venue's approval and insurance requirements. The farm's organic produce and flowers may also be discussed with the caterer for use in the event menu.

The venue offers time for set-up before weekend weddings and hosts one event per weekend. On-site options at Liberty Farms include farmhouse stays and The STAY, a boutique glamping retreat with canvas cabins. These provide accommodation for guests and can be considered for a rehearsal dinner or a wedding-weekend gathering, subject to availability. With indoor and outdoor areas, a rural setting and arrangements for catering and guest stays, the property is suited to couples planning a countryside wedding and related celebrations.
