The Battersea Barge

The Battersea Barge is a converted Dutch barge permanently moored in Nine Elms, offering organisers a distinctive riverside setting for private and corporate events. Its decks can be hired separately or together, with options ranging from a reserved area for a smaller group to exclusive use of the whole boat. The venue can host up to 150 guests, depending on the layout and event format.

The lower deck is a popular choice for parties and performances. It includes a stage and audience space, with access to the bar, and can be arranged for seated dining or a standing reception. Organisers planning a show can enquire about the onboard dressing room and audiovisual facilities. Outdoor decks and terrace areas provide additional choices for gatherings where guests would value fresh air and views of the Thames.

Weddings are among the occasions hosted on board. The barge has a wedding licence and offers space for ceremonies and receptions, as well as private celebrations, company events and live performances. Its different areas allow planners to shape the setting around the guest list and programme, whether that means hiring one deck or bringing guests together across the boat.

Food and drink are available through the venue's bar and kitchen. Organisers can discuss the hire arrangements and available spaces for their preferred date and group size. Public opening and entertainment may continue on parts of the boat during some private bookings, so it is worth confirming which areas will be exclusive when making an enquiry. The Battersea Barge is a practical option for planners seeking a characterful floating venue in south-west London.
