Norwich Theatre Stage Two

Norwich Theatre Stage Two is a compact studio theatre and creative space in central Norwich, operated as part of the Norwich Theatre family. Its main performance space is a fully equipped black-box studio with capacity for up to 120 people. The flexible layout includes retractable bench seating and movable chairs, giving visiting productions and creative teams scope to adapt the room to their work.

Alongside the theatre, Stage Two provides rehearsal studios and training spaces. It is used for artist development, creative engagement and the presentation of new work, including work-in-progress sharings. The venue supports activity ranging from rehearsals and development sessions to public performances and learning programmes, making it relevant to theatre-makers, visiting companies and organisations delivering creative projects.

The building has three studio spaces across several floors, with lift access providing step-free routes to them. Accessible toilets are available, and the main auditorium is reached from the reception area. For productions, technical information is available to help companies plan around the room and its facilities. Some technical equipment may also be available for external hire, subject to availability.

Stage Two is on Chantry Road, with access from Theatre Street, close to Norwich city centre transport links and parking. Its character is best suited to intimate performances, rehearsal and arts-related gatherings rather than large conferences or general-purpose celebrations. Event planners and creative producers can contact Norwich Theatre to discuss the venue's spaces, technical arrangements and suitability for a proposed production or activity.
