The Grain Exchange

The Grain Exchange is a historic event venue in downtown Milwaukee, set within the Mackie Building. Its Grand Ballroom offers a distinctive setting for wedding receptions, corporate functions, nonprofit events, holiday celebrations and other social gatherings. The building's character comes through in its soaring ceilings, historic artwork and frescos, and finishes that include granite, limestone and sandstone. A central bell tower adds to the room's striking architectural presence.

The venue has nearly 10,000 square feet of event space and can host up to 500 guests for a cocktail reception. For seated events, it accommodates up to 350 guests, or up to 300 when a dance floor is included. The ballroom is available for daytime and evening bookings, giving event planners scope to shape a format around their programme, whether that is a formal dinner, reception, business event or large celebration.

Bartolotta Catering & Events is the exclusive caterer at The Grain Exchange. Its team offers restaurant-quality food and hospitality, with event coordinators available to help clients plan the details of their gathering. On-site audio-visual equipment and support are available, and organisers can work with the team on a custom floor plan. The venue's combination of historic interiors, dedicated catering and planning support makes it a well-suited choice for organisers seeking a formal Milwaukee setting for an event.
