The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre

The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre is a historic event venue in downtown Brenham, Texas, offering several distinctive spaces for weddings, business gatherings and private celebrations. Set in a restored 1925 building, it pairs period character with modern facilities for organisers seeking a memorable setting.

The Hasskarl Auditorium is a restored theatre suited to wedding ceremonies, conferences, presentations, film screenings and live performances. For receptions, dinners and larger gatherings, the Bullock Ballroom provides a stage area, tables and chairs, audio-visual equipment and access to a catering kitchen. Morriss Hall offers a more contemporary setting for meetings and conferences. Its movable dividing wall allows the space to be arranged as one room or two smaller rooms, making it useful for training sessions, workshops and events with separate meeting areas.

The venue also promotes dedicated wedding rentals, including ceremony and reception options, rehearsal dinners and wedding showers. Organisers can book spaces together or separately and bring their own caterer, florist and planner. Depending on the rooms selected, rentals include an on-site staff member, initial table and chair set-up, and access to kitchen facilities. Audio-visual equipment and other practical features support both presentations and celebrations.

With a range of room styles under one roof, the Barnhill Center can accommodate events from focused meetings to receptions and performances. Its historic theatre, ballroom and flexible conference rooms give event planners options for shaping the layout and atmosphere around their programme.
