Stutson House

Stutson House is a historic Rochester venue available for weddings, receptions, corporate gatherings, reunions, fundraisers and other private events. Its character comes from the restored Hollow Grinder building, where reclaimed materials and period features create a warm, rustic setting with a more polished finish.

The venue has several spaces to suit different occasions and guest numbers. The Green Room can seat up to 70 and has original woodwork, arched tin ceilings, natural light and a private bar. It is suited to wedding celebrations, showers and business meetings, with a screen for presentations and a sound system for music. The adjoining Red Room seats up to 40 and can be booked for a smaller gathering or used alongside the Green Room for extra space or a separate lounge. For more intimate dinners and meetings, the Captain's Room accommodates up to 14. The Downtime Pub provides a relaxed option for birthdays, reunions, retirement parties and rehearsal dinners, with seating for up to 40.

At Stutson House, organisers can arrange a ceremony and reception in the same venue, using sliding barn doors to change the layout between parts of the event. The bar and dining areas can also be booked for cocktail-style gatherings. The venue has an on-site kitchen, and its team can provide customisable event catering, with menus prepared in-house and options for dietary needs. Hosts can discuss menu choices, bar arrangements, room configuration and event requirements with the catering coordinator when planning their booking.
