The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm

The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm is a historic event venue in Bennington, Nebraska, offering a distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Set on the grounds of a former dairy farm, the 1935 barn combines original character with modern, climate-controlled facilities. The venue can host events for up to 450 guests and is hired exclusively for one event at a time, giving organisers and their guests use of the property without another party taking place alongside theirs.

Different areas of the barn and grounds can be used to shape the event. Indoor reception spaces include the haymow and milking parlour, while the outdoor grounds offer ceremony locations and photo opportunities. The spaces allow organisers to plan distinct moments, from a ceremony through to drinks and a reception, with indoor alternatives available. The venue also has a catering kitchen for visiting caterers and a licensed bar with bartending service. Organisers can ask about drink options and available event packages.

Weddings are a key part of the venue's offer, with support from in-house wedding planners. The Barn also welcomes private events such as birthdays, graduations, class reunions and meetings, along with corporate parties, retreats, fundraisers and celebrations of life. Event arrangements can be tailored to suit the occasion, and corporate organisers can enquire about audiovisual equipment. The venue can also share recommendations for local caterers, decorators, rental providers and DJs. Organisers can contact the team to discuss their plans, request a quote and arrange a tour of the property.
