The MS Hydra is a historic inland vessel in Sneek, offering groups a distinctive setting for a meeting, drinks reception, birthday party or company outing. Organisers can use the ship as a venue at its permanent mooring or, by arrangement, as a floating event venue. The spacious deck and former cargo hold provide room to get together, with the arrangements tailored to the group and the programme.

Anyone wanting to turn their event into a day on the water can discuss a cruise through Sneek and the Frisian lakes. The route can be tailored, for example with a stop in IJlst. Activities en route or on an island can also be part of the programme. Organisers can arrange their own food and drink, or ask in advance about options such as a barbecue or buffet.

As well as hosting events, the MS Hydra is available as group accommodation for up to 16 people. On board, there are sleeping berths, a kitchen, dining tables, bathroom facilities and a shared living area. The ship is not rented to more than one group at a time, so the group can enjoy the accommodation together. Its permanent mooring is within walking distance of the centre of Sneek.

The family who manages the ship is happy to help plan the route and the preferred arrangements. This makes the MS Hydra suitable for organisers who want to combine a meeting or party with sailing, plan a group weekend or arrange a company outing on the water. The number of event participants is agreed in consultation.
