The Marquis

The Marquis is a small, characterful venue in Gosfield for gatherings connected with weddings at nearby Gosfield Hall. Couples can arrange a night-before celebration where friends and family can meet, enjoy food and drinks, and stay together close to the main wedding venue. The property can also provide extra guest accommodation for the wedding night, subject to availability.

The building offers nine en-suite bedrooms, including a family suite, with overnight capacity for up to 21 guests. Shared facilities include a private bar, lounge and dining room, giving groups places to socialise and dine without needing to return to Gosfield Hall between parts of the celebration. Packages can include a buffet-style supper and breakfast, while bespoke arrangements may be discussed with the team.

For event planners organising a wedding weekend, The Marquis can help extend the occasion beyond the wedding day itself. Its accommodation and informal gathering spaces suit a smaller group of relatives and friends, whether the priority is an evening together before the ceremony or additional rooms for guests. The property is a short drive from Gosfield Hall, so it can be used alongside the manor's wedding arrangements. Enquiries about dates, accommodation and tailored packages are handled through the Gosfield Hall team. The Marquis is best suited to intimate, wedding-related gatherings rather than large standalone receptions, with its private bar, dining facilities and overnight rooms forming the core of its offer.
