Hybrid events: they are the ideal combination of online and offline meetings. While part of your audience is physically present, many people are also watching via your livestream. We list for you how to set up such a hybrid event and what the benefits are.

Thanks to the corona pandemic, life has changed a lot. We are more used to working remotely or living on demand than ever before. And that of course influences the way we organize events. Online events are more professional than ever and hybrid events have become an indispensable part of society.

What exactly are hybrid events?

Physical and online come together seamlessly in a hybrid event. Your presenter, chairman, speakers and/or the audience will be present on location. At the same time, people can also attend the event from their home, office or another location, via a hybrid livestream.

But just broadcasting the event is not enough. Organizing such a hybrid event requires expertise. While online you focus on knowledge sharing and flexibility, physically it is much more about the experience, networking and the feeling of exclusivity. Therefore, make sure that you create interaction in the right way. This can be done online, for example, with polls or a word cloud.

A hybrid event is a good idea because…

- it has a much greater reach than just a physical event. More people can attend through the combination of online and offline.

- it is much more sustainable. Your audience does not have to be physically present. This also applies to (some of) your speakers. So it's nice to join in digitally!

- you offer your audience much more flexibility. Imagine if they are unable to attend your event at the last minute, they can join online.
