Following several years of steady growth, event agency OFCORES is taking the next step by welcoming Jo Dalm as its third managing partner. The expansion of the team and a move to larger offices are further indications that the agency is preparing for its next phase of growth.
With Jo Dalm joining founders Jean-Baptiste De Bock and Sofie Smits at the helm, OFCORES now has a three-person management team. Jo brings years of experience in the event and trade fair industry and has been part of OFCORES since 2021.
“We felt it was important to strengthen our structure at the management level,” says founder Jean-Baptiste De Bock. “This will allow us to turn the peaks—so typical of our sector—into more sustained waves. Jo also adds extra expertise and brings fresh ideas.”
The appointment of Jo Dalm is not the only move OFCORES has made to prepare for future growth. The company has also relocated to larger premises in Dilbeek, specifically the Wivina Offices, which are housed in a former convent. In addition, the team has grown to 14 permanent employees, supported by several freelancers, totalling around 20.
60% of international events
“We’ve used the past few months to prepare ourselves for the future,” says Sofie Smits. “We can sense that further growth is within reach. In 2024, we organised around 80 events, and after the first half of 2025, we’re already close to 50.”
Notably, OFCORES organises more than half of its events abroad (in the EU, US, Asia, and Africa), catering to both institutional and corporate clients. In recent years, it has widened its services to include stand construction and logistics for international trade fairs.
“That experience reinforces our belief that we can diversify even further,” says Jo Dalm. “By now, we have mastered all aspects of both corporate and institutional projects—from congresses and conferences to trade fairs, expos, teambuilding, and all kinds of corporate events.”
Growing demand for connection
Events are becoming increasingly significant, according to the three managers. “Whether in the corporate world or institutional settings, creating connections is crucial,” says Jean-Baptiste De Bock. Today, we engage more through online meetings and remote working, which only heightens the need for face-to-face contact. Events also facilitate knowledge sharing and bolster team cohesion.
“On top of that, audience expectations are increasing constantly, which means that clients’ expectations of event agencies are also higher,” adds Sofie Smits. “The fact that nearly all events are now shared on social media has a lot to do with that.”
Not the largest, but the most prized
OFCORES plans to leverage all the expertise it has developed over recent years to attract more clients and motivate both institutional and corporate clients to invest more in events. Jo Dalm concludes: “In addition to growth in the institutional market, we want to further develop as a 360° partner for our clients, offering the full spectrum of event services, both at home and abroad. Our ambition is not to be the largest event agency, but to be the most valued partner—the one that truly makes a difference.”
