Summer vacation with kids: how to organize a mini-event every day without even wanting to.

Summer vacation with kids. Or, as I call it: the phase where you think you're on vacation, but you're actually just a full-time event manager for nine weeks.

👉 “Mommy, what are we going to do today?” 👉 “Mommy, I’m bored…” 👉 “Mommy, why can he have ice cream and I can’t?”

Summer vacation teaches me every year that children don't need big plans. They want adventure. Fun. Something to talk about over breakfast. And often that's in the little things: a picnic in an unexpected location, a water fight in the garden, building a camp together in the living room.

And at the same time… I see how many parents are struggling to come up with "something fun." Everything has to be bigger, better, Pinterest-worthy.

So here's a reminder from someone who makes a living from organizing parties (and sometimes just doesn't know how to do it at home):

🎈 You are enough.

🎈 Your children remember those simple moments the most.

🎈 And it doesn't have to be perfect. Especially not in the summer.

And yes—at Wild Wishes, we sometimes make a real spectacle of things. But even we believe that magic lies in the little things. Whether it's a big party or a small summer moment... as long as it's real.

Enjoy it. Enjoy them. And if you ever want to get really crazy... you know where to find me. 😉
