Sustainability is a key priority for many companies today. Yet, translating these ambitions into concrete actions on the work floor often remains a challenge. That's why Ecco La Luna, in collaboration with Do Good People, is launching the first edition of the Be the Change: Small Acts, Big Impact Challenge this spring.

This three-week challenge encourages employees to develop sustainable habits and immediately apply them in their daily work practices.

Turning sustainability into action

More and more organizations want to go beyond simply putting sustainability on paper and effectively integrate it into their corporate culture. The Be the Change: Small Acts, Big Impact program addresses this with an interactive and playful approach.

During the challenge, employees collaborate in teams and compete against other companies. Participants are regularly presented with sustainability challenges via a gamified app, encouraging them to act more consciously and sustainably—both at work and outside of work.

Practical and achievable challenges

Companies can register with teams of up to 15 people. Over three weeks, all team members will receive various assignments through the app.

These challenges are built around four key themes:

Circular economy – waste reduction and recycling in the office

DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)

Energy Efficiency – Daily Energy Saving Habits

Health, safety and wellbeing – for example, dealing with stress in the workplace

The assignments are deliberately designed to be easily integrated into the workday without disrupting daily routines. For example, participants can be challenged to save energy, keep nature clean, or even exercise more during the workday.

A healthy competition between companies

For every action completed, participants earn points. These points determine their team's ranking, which provides extra motivation and a healthy competitive atmosphere.

After three weeks, the team that achieves the most points on average will be declared the most sustainable company.

But the challenge's impact extends beyond the final ranking. The program helps employees develop new sustainable habits that they continue to apply after the challenge. At the same time, it encourages a more conscious and impact-oriented mindset, making sustainability a unifying element within teams and organizations.

International launch

The challenge is organised in three countries:

Luxembourg – starts on April 13

France – starts on May 11

Belgium – starts on May 18

Companies can register multiple teams, which also makes for a fun and motivating competition internally!
