'Let us get you in the mood!'
In 2017, Bo Risky (Boris) founded ' The Mood Managers '.
Providing music at an event, whether it's a birthday party or an event in the Ziggo Dome, goes beyond just pressing buttons and mixing records.
After working in the hospitality industry for 20 years, he also compares it to this: making people happy!
You can teach anyone to carry a plate, bring it to the guest and then wish them 'enjoy your meal'. Only really making people happy and being an added value to an evening, that determines whether you have 'that real hospitality blood' .
The same goes for DJs. Boris founded his Dutch DJ Academy in 2009 and can make anyone technically a good DJ, is his claim. But that doesn't mean you'll actually become a good DJ, in short Mood Manager (DJ 2.0) ! During individual workshops at his DDA they always hear that people have gained a lot more respect for DJs, that it's a lot harder than it seemed.
The DJ profession has become much more accessible and technically easier with today's technology. As technology improved, from Vinyl to CD, to USB and to Digital, the number of DJs increased exponentially with each step.
DJ, who isn't these days? It's not for nothing that there is a famous Belgian DJ duo called 'Too Many DJ's'. And that applies especially to the Netherlands. So it's understandable that people who are looking can't see the forest for the trees...
In addition to our own Mood Managers, we can also arrange for additional artists, such as saxophonists, trumpeters, singers, percussionists, etc.
Eventplanner also features the profile of De Silent Disco Club, one of the other trade names/parts of The Mood Managers...
Contact us, we'd love to brainstorm with you to take your plan to greater heights :-)
The newest family member at The Mood Managers!
Our Vespa sidecar is truly special, a one-of-a-kind head-turner, you could say. It's no wonder people get neck pain when you have a champagne bottle as a sidecar on your vintage 1975 Vespa Sprint.😎

How cool and playful
What a brilliant thing (Vespa). And how fitting for our theme of bringing Italy to the Netherlands. Collection and delivery service was top-notch. Boris is a great guy with a brilliant explanation.

Olympia Flower Parade 2026
From Olympia, we made use of the DJ Cargo Bike, fully styled in the colors and logos of our organization, during the 2026 flower parade. We received excellent assistance, communication went smoothly, and the result was fantastic! We are very satisfied! Thank you, Mood Managers!
Feedback from The Mood Managers on this review:
It's so nice to hear that you enjoyed it, Alice.
And how cool to finally have seen the flower parade (of Lichtenvoorde) up close, very impressive and highly recommended!
Until the next edition ;-)

Mood managers at Museum Night
The Museumnacht010 party on the roof of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen Depot was made complete with the 'Studio 54' disco booth from Moodmanagers. The moving disco balls cast their sparkle over the DJs and dancing crowd, transforming the roof into an atmospheric, sparkling scene. Additionally, Moodmanagers were flexible in their approach regarding delivery — that makes for a pleasure to work with.
Feedback from The Mood Managers on this review:
Well, if that isn't a vivid review that describes it perfectly, then I don't know what is.😍
Thanks Birgit for writing it. It was great that we got to visit our big brother (The Boijmans Depot, which is a giant disco ball itself) again.😃
Until next time!

Silent disco birthday
The Mood Managers made my birthday party unforgettable!
The Silent Disco setup was handled professionally and pleasantly. Boris is a warm personality who listens carefully to your wishes. Marcel perfectly animated the evening. He also listens carefully to what you want to hear and has a good sense of the atmosphere. He's also friendly and calm.
All the guests thought it was a fantastic party, and I, as birthday boy Job, thought it was the best!
Highly recommended!

Fire Brigade by Day, Magic in the Dark
During the Dam tot Dam weekend, the fire truck was back. A beautiful sight, especially at night when all the lights come to life.
Feedback from The Mood Managers on this review:
Thanks Lars, great that we could be at the Dam tot Dam race again, always fun and enjoyable there😀
And thanks for your explanation about your 4 star rating haha
No specific reason. A 5/5 is just almost impossible in my opinion :)

Discoball DJ Booth
We rented the Discoball DJ booth for an event. Contact with Boris was fantastic, and he was very friendly and helpful. The delivery was right on time, and it was great that Boris was also able to pick up the booth during the night. The DJ booth was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was a real eye-catcher at our event.

Party on wheels with Moodmanagers!”
We rented their DJ cargo bike for a beer brand activation – and what a blast it was! From the very first contact, everything went smoothly: quick responses, brainstorming options, and flexible scheduling.
The DJ cargo bike was a real eye-catcher and a real mood-setter. It immediately grabbed attention, and in no time, we had a fantastic party going. Exactly the vibe we were looking for for this activation.
Moodmanagers doesn't just provide a cool cargo bike, they also offer reliable service. Highly recommended if you're looking for something unique and energetic!

Great atmosphere management
At our last corporate event, Boris from The Mood Managers made a great contribution to the atmosphere. He felt the setting and the audience perfectly, which made his presence certainly contribute to the positive and energetic atmosphere of the day. Boris is professional, attentive and flexible, which made switching super easy. Really recommended!

The Mood Managers: party whisperers of the highest level
We hired The Mood Managers for a big party (over 800 guests), and they did a fantastic job! They provided a cracking silent disco and the decoration of multiple rooms — everything was arranged down to the last detail.
What was particularly striking was how well they thought along. No standard approach, but real customization that perfectly matched our wishes and the atmosphere of the event. The styling was creative, atmospheric and worked out in detail. And the silent disco? An absolute hit with all the guests!
In short: professional, flexible and super fun to work with. The Mood Managers lift every party to a higher level. Highly recommended!
Feedback from The Mood Managers on this review:
Thank you Hans for the kind words and taking the time to write the nice review!
And especially thanks for the trust and thinking along. Great to be able to provide so much decoration and even cooler of course that we were the hit of the party with the Silent Disco😎

Well, if a DJ booth of ours is allowed to be in 't Paard in The Hague, I will of course be enthusiastic about that :-D

And we are so proud of this assignment at The Mood Managers!
Our DJ Cargo Bike rode around an empty Tomorrowland festival site on Sunday morning, during the 2nd weekend, for the Zone5 Run & Rave, between 09:00 and 11:00.
People could sign up for the run, which took place before the festival was due to open. That is quite special, running ...
Your guests light up because they choose the music!
Our newest addition, a grand piano, a baby grand piano, completely wrapped in disco ball mirrors and filled with vinyl singles. A real eye-catcher, with a WOW factor.
Quick to get in touch, a unique offering and lovely people!
