Woodcroft Christian Centre

Woodcroft Christian Centre is a residential Christian retreat venue near Chepstow, set on a high ridge overlooking the Wye Valley and Severn estuary. The centre welcomes churches, youth groups, universities, colleges and other Christian organisations looking for an affordable place to stay, meet and spend time together.

The site provides accommodation for up to 64 guests across three chalet-style blocks. Separate boys’ and girls’ accommodation is complemented by a leaders’ chalet with en-suite rooms and additional facilities for group leaders. Guests bring their own bedding, while travel cots are available for families with infants.

For meetings and group activities, Woodcroft offers a large indoor sports hall and meeting room, a lounge, coffee bar and tuck shop area, as well as a smaller conference room with seating for up to 36 people. A projector, music stands and PA equipment can be arranged on request. The centre also has a self-catering kitchen with commercial equipment, a separate washing-up area, dining facilities and an outdoor patio suitable for larger groups.

Four acres of grounds and woodland provide space for reflection, outdoor teaching and informal activities. Facilities include an open-air chapel area, bonfire space, an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, and a portable pizza oven. A marquee can provide additional covered outdoor space during the warmer months.

Woodcroft is particularly suited to church retreats, Christian youth weekends, residential teaching programmes, leadership gatherings and organised group stays. The centre operates under a strict no-alcohol policy and offers flexible weekend, midweek and full-week booking options.
