Quite a challenge if you are looking for the ideal location for your event. How do you narrow down the offer when you are choosing a location? Broadly speaking, there are two important things that you should pay attention to: the atmosphere that the event location radiates and a whole list of practical matters.
The atmosphere of the event venue
Does the event location evoke the right atmosphere? Does it match the goal you want to achieve with your event: that is the answer to the question 'for whom are you organising your event (the company) and what should be achieved (the goal)?'
Can you make adjustments to the location to achieve the right appearance? Atmosphere is a very broad concept. Can the set-up and dismantling proceed smoothly and does the event location allow for smooth logistics operations? Is there sufficient storage space?
Then it is best to check the accessibility for your (international) visitors. Is the event location central? Is there parking available? Is the event location accessible to people with disabilities?
Since the way to the hearts of men and women is through their stomachs, you should also check which catering facilities are available. Do you have to work with an in-house caterer or do you choose one yourself? Sufficient moments to consume food and drinks at your event are always appreciated. Also important: how are safety and environmental standards? Are there emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and first-aid facilities? Does this event location offer sufficient technical equipment such as audiovisual facilities and, of course, internet and Wi-Fi? Does the room have enough light? If there is enough natural light, your guests will feel happier and more energetic. Are there also blinds, a stage, heating, and air conditioning?
