Cooley Center

Cooley Center is a flexible conference and event venue in Houston’s Texas Medical Center, offering adaptable space for professional gatherings, university functions, continuing education programmes, seminars, lectures and special events. Managed by UTHealth Houston, the centre welcomes organisers who need a practical, well-equipped setting for meetings and larger group occasions.

The 14,000-square-foot facility can be arranged in different configurations to suit the format and size of an event. Organisers can use the centre as one large venue or divide it into up to six separate rooms. Depending on the layout, the space can accommodate standing receptions, auditorium-style presentations, banquets, workshops and smaller meetings. Room set-ups can be tailored with classroom tables, banquet tables, cocktail tables and different chair options.

Technology is a key part of the venue offering. Meeting rooms include presentation podiums, projection systems, microphones, ceiling speakers and wireless connectivity. Additional facilities support lecture capture, videoconferencing, teleconferencing and webcasting, making the venue suitable for hybrid meetings and events that require remote participation. On-site technology support can also be arranged.

Beyond the main rooms, event organisers can reserve a spacious lobby, a covered outdoor patio and a landscaped courtyard for registration, refreshments, networking or breaks. A dedicated catering kitchen is available for food and beverage service, with refrigeration, warming equipment, preparation space and an ice maker.
