RISE

RISE is an independent venue in the centre of Frome, set inside a restored former church dating from the early 19th century. Organisers can hire two distinct rooms for classes, workshops, business meetings, private bookings and other gatherings, with options suited to both small groups and larger events.

The Old School Room is the larger space, with room for around 150 people standing or approximately 100 seated. Its ground-floor location, natural light, adjustable lighting, heating and nearby toilets make it a practical choice for a broad range of bookings. The smaller Sun Room offers a more intimate setting, seating around 30 people and accommodating about 10 yoga mats. It is suitable for meetings, workshops, classes and smaller gatherings, though it is upstairs and does not have disabled access.

Both rooms have Wi-Fi and access to the garden for breaks or breakout sessions. Tables and chairs can be arranged for an additional charge, and the larger room has a piano available for public use. Limited parking may be arranged in advance. Hire enquiries and bookings are handled directly by RISE, with availability shown on its calendar and separate booking forms available for different types of use. Catering from the on-site Rye Bakery may be available for some bookings.

Alongside its hire spaces, RISE houses the Whittox Gallery and Rye Bakery café, and provides a welcoming community setting for people to meet, work and take part in activities. The venue is open for classes and events throughout the week.
