The Sanctuary of Wabash

The Sanctuary of Wabash is a flexible event venue set inside a restored 1903 Gothic-style church, a few blocks from historic downtown Wabash, Indiana. Organisers can book the building for intimate weddings, private celebrations, meetings and company gatherings, with options to combine event space and overnight accommodation.

Couples can choose between a small micro-wedding package for up to eight guests and an intimate ceremony and reception for up to 50. There is also a separate wedding-party rental for groups preparing for the day together, with room for up to 50 people, a commercial kitchen, dining space, living rooms and bathrooms. These arrangements give wedding parties a place to gather, get ready and spend time together before the ceremony.

For other occasions, the venue welcomes birthdays, showers, family and class reunions, presentations, business meetings and conferences. The event space can be tailored to suit the gathering, and organisers may bring food and drink for the wedding-party rental. The venue says it no longer offers its own menu service.

Overnight rentals are available for groups, including families, wedding guests and corporate retreat participants. The accommodation can be booked as a smaller private suite, a group hub, or a combination of both, with the combined option sleeping up to 21 guests. Features include bedrooms, shared living areas, kitchen facilities and a dining table beneath the church’s stained-glass windows. Its distinctive historic setting, central location and choice of event and lodging arrangements make it a practical base for celebrations and group stays in Wabash.
