At the heart of Hanai is the Hanai Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Bend resident Kim Smythe to create opportunities for people across Central Oregon to learn, explore, share, and grow together. Through its own programs and events, as well as its support of community-led initiatives and nonprofit partners, the Foundation helps cultivate a more conscious, connected, and vibrant community.

Clients can enquire about booking part or all of the facility, with capacity and layout depending on the chosen spaces and event. Available features include audiovisual equipment, flexible seating, a commercial kitchen, refreshment options and a gas fire pit.

Whether hosting a small workshop, a team gathering, a wedding or a community celebration, clients can choose a room arrangement and indoor-outdoor setting that fits the occasion. Rental enquiries are handled directly by the venue, which can discuss availability, pricing and suitable spaces with prospective clients.
