The Muse Theatre

The Muse Theatre is a historic event venue in downtown Perry, Georgia, offering a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, business gatherings and private celebrations. Originally a 1950s cinema, the building has been renovated as a flexible venue while retaining details such as its original balcony and characterful theatre setting.

At the heart of the venue is a ballroom of approximately 3,500 square feet, with hardwood floors, exposed brick, high ceilings and chandeliers. Seating can be arranged for different event formats, with the ballroom accommodating up to 250 guests for a banquet-style layout or around 350 in theatre-style seating. The venue’s stated standing occupancy is 649. An upper-level balcony offers additional seating and a view over the main room.

For wedding ceremonies and outdoor gatherings, an adjoining landscaped garden provides around 4,000 square feet of space, with a pergola as a focal point. Couples also have access to a private bridal suite with hair and make-up stations, a lounge area and its own bathroom. The venue includes a catering kitchen with storage and food-preparation facilities, and organisers may bring their preferred caterer. A stocked bar and staff-prepared drink service are also available.

Tables and chairs are included with bookings, with additional furniture, set-up and breakdown options available for a fee. A reserved parking area sits beside the building, and the team can discuss a tailored rental package based on the event, date and venue availability. With indoor and outdoor spaces in one historic location, The Muse Theatre can suit a range of wedding plans and other hosted occasions.
