The Connecticut River Valley Inn

The Connecticut River Valley Inn is a historic Glastonbury property offering a distinctive setting for weddings, private celebrations and business events. The inn combines the character of an 18th-century building with landscaped grounds and a warm, art-filled interior, giving organisers a choice of indoor spaces and outdoor areas for gatherings.

Couples can enquire about elopements and smaller wedding celebrations, as well as larger weddings and tented events. Options include intimate ceremonies and a wedding social package, while the grounds can accommodate events for up to 100 guests. The property also hosts occasions such as anniversary dinners, rehearsal gatherings, showers, birthday parties, graduations and celebrations of life. For corporate organisers, the dining room, solarium and meeting space can be used for business lunches, planning sessions, training workshops, retreats, team gatherings and staff celebrations. Different rooms may also be used for breakout sessions.

The inn has six guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, and offers overnight accommodation alongside its event facilities. This can be useful for wedding parties, retreat groups and guests travelling from further away. Its event offering includes assistance with planning the gathering, and selected packages include ceremony elements and reception details. Organisers can discuss the event format, guest numbers and arrangements directly with the inn.

Set in Glastonbury’s historic district, the property is close to Hartford and major routes, making it a practical option for local and visiting guests. With its gardens, period character, intimate rooms and on-site lodging, the inn suits planners looking for a personal venue for celebrations, weddings or smaller business events.
