New Windmill Hall

New Windmill Hall is a community venue in Upminster available to hire for a variety of private, community and business occasions. Its main hall can be arranged for different event formats, from seated dinners and receptions to dances, talks, films and concerts. The hall accommodates up to 150 people for formal dining or social-style seating, and up to 250 in block seating for performances and presentations.

The main room has a raised stage, lighting and sound equipment, a retractable screen and a dance floor. Tables and chairs are available, and a bar and refreshment area sits beside the stage. Hirers can also make use of the kitchen, which has food preparation, cooking and washing-up facilities. Catering is not presented as an in-house service, so organisers can arrange an external caterer in line with the venue’s hire conditions.

For smaller gatherings, four additional rooms can be booked separately or used as breakout, changing or social spaces. These rooms may suit meetings and small group activities. The foyer provides a place to welcome guests, while accessible facilities and ramped access support visitors with mobility needs.

The venue is suitable for wedding receptions, birthday and anniversary celebrations, dinners, dances, community events and business or educational gatherings. It also hosts regular clubs and activities. Organisers can enquire about a booking through the hall, with a steward available during lettings to assist with questions. New Windmill Hall is close to Upminster station and has a council car park next door, making it convenient for local guests and groups travelling from further afield.
