Bowling Green Pavilion & Lawn

Set within Battersea Park, the Bowling Green Pavilion and Lawn offers organisers a distinctive outdoor setting for weddings, private celebrations and other special occasions. Its combination of a historic pavilion and broad green lawn gives hosts room to shape the space around their plans, whether they are arranging a ceremony, reception, dinner or lively party.

The pavilion provides a sheltered focal point, while the adjoining lawn can be adapted for outdoor gatherings and temporary structures. The park’s gardens and mature greenery create a scenic backdrop, with views towards Battersea Power Station adding a recognisable London setting. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and marriages, making it possible to hold a ceremony and celebration in the park.

The Bowling Green is offered on a dry-hire basis. Organisers can choose their own suppliers for food, drink, styling and entertainment, or consult the venue team’s recommended supplier list. This flexibility suits planners who want to create a bespoke event rather than select a fixed catering or décor package. A limited number of wooden chairs are also available to hire.

The space can accommodate different layouts and event sizes, from smaller gatherings to larger receptions, subject to the chosen arrangement. The experienced events team can help with enquiries and practical planning, while the surrounding park provides a relaxed, leafy atmosphere close to central London. For organisers seeking a venue with outdoor character, ceremony options and freedom to bring in their own suppliers, the Bowling Green Pavilion and Lawn is a versatile choice for weddings and private events.
